Location: Royal Sussex County Hospital, Eastern Rd, Brighton, BN2 5BE

This role involves managing the administrative and clerical duties essential for patient care within a ward environment, offering both full-time and part-time working patterns. You will ensure that all patient data, both physical and digital, is accurately maintained and processed promptly across various hospital systems. The position requires a professional approach to handling enquiries from patients, relatives, and medical staff.

Duties:
- Ensure all patient discharge information is correctly completed and distributed to GPs and relevant departments.
- Process incoming post and manage telephone enquiries following departmental protocols.
- Update patient details, admissions, transfers, and discharges on the Careflow system.
- Book post-inpatient follow-up appointments and manage referral outcomes.
- Maintain ward admission books and ensure clinical notes are tracked correctly.
- Assist with identifying and merging duplicate electronic and physical patient records.

Requirements:
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Proficient IT skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably within a hospital environment.
- Evidence of commitment to equality, diversity, and inclusion.
- Valid right to work in the UK as visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
