Bank SFEDS Community Support Worker

Location: Aldrington House, Hove, BN3 4AG

This role involves working within the Sussex Family Eating Disorder Service to provide physical health monitoring and support for children and young people. You will work within a multi-professional team to assist with evidence-based care, reviewing referrals, updating care plans, and supporting families during recovery journeys. The position operates on a flexible working pattern as part of the bank staff roster.

Duties:

• Promote health and safety maintaining best practice in health, safety and security.
• Conduct physical health monitoring including weight, height, and blood pressure.
• Work with the MDT to ensure quality care and intervention.
• Share ideas with colleagues to improve care and suggest areas for innovation.
• Adhere to legislation, policies, and procedures while attending staff engagement meetings.
• Support Duty & Triage teams by reviewing referrals and responding to queries from families and service providers.
• Review and update risk assessments and care plans while maintaining accurate records.

Requirements:

• Experience working with children and young people.
• Experience in analysing and communicating complex information.
• Ability to establish and maintain empathic, supportive relationships with young people and families in distress.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential client information.
• Capability to work in a fast-paced environment with conflicting demands.
