Location: Brighton
Brighton College is seeking to appoint a part-time, permanent Nurse to join their Health Centre team. This term-time role supports the physical, psychological, and emotional needs of pupils from 3 to 18 years of age. The schedule requires working 26 hours per week on a pattern of Tuesday and Thursday (7.30pm to 3.00pm), Friday (2.45pm to 9.00pm), and Sunday (2.45pm to 9.00pm).
Duties:
- Provide direct nursing care to pupils, young people, and staff members
- Assess, treat, and monitor illnesses, injuries, and medical conditions of boarding pupils
- Safely administer prescribed and non-prescription medications and treatments
- Maintain thorough and accurate records for all pupil consultations
- Manage chronic medical conditions and develop Individualised Health Care Plans
- Coordinate medical appointments, referrals, and follow-up care
Requirements:
- NMC registered Nurse with up-to-date validation and qualifications
- Willingness to complete Child Protection training and setting-specific training
- Ability to prioritise and manage situations under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal, empathetic, and professional communication skills
- Competent IT skills with a flexible and proactive attitude
