Barista & Front of House

Location: Bank House, Southwick Square, Southwick, BN42 4FN

The Flour Pot Bakery is looking for a passionate and customer-focused Barista/Front of House team member to join their growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service, preparing high-quality beverages, and ensuring the store remains a welcoming space.

Duties:
- Provide excellent customer service and make all customers feel valued
- Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages including expertly crafted coffee
- Operate espresso machines and coffee-making equipment with precision
- Assist customers with menu choices and offer recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness in front-of-house areas including counters and tables
- Process transactions efficiently using the point-of-sale system
- Assist with stock management and restocking display cases
- Work collaboratively with team members for efficient service
- Adhere to all food safety and hygiene regulations

Requirements:
- Previous experience in a barista or front-of-house role preferred but not essential
- Passion for coffee, baked goods, and excellent customer service
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Positive attitude, reliability, and a proactive approach to teamwork
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required
- Knowledge of coffee-making techniques and food safety standards is a plus
