Supermarket Assistant

Location: 18 Southwick Square, BN42 4FJ

As a Partner on our service counters, you will demonstrate your passion for food while providing excellent service and product recommendations to customers. This role includes various contract options up to 12 hours per week with shifts including early starts from 05:30, late finishes until 22:30, evenings, and weekends.

Duties:
- Ensuring the highest presentation and hygiene standards for your food counter at all times
- Staying on top of stock levels to ensure products are available for customers
- Following all health and safety protocols and due diligence when working with open food
- Helping to reduce food wastage within the department
- Maintaining knowledge of new products and Waitrose food values
- Supporting the wider shop team with general shopkeeping tasks when required

Requirements:
- Applicants must be 18 years or over to apply due to working time regulations
- Strong communication skills to work effectively as part of a team and with customers
- A flexible approach to ensure the support of the whole branch
