Brighton College Prep School is seeking to appoint an Associate Visiting Teacher (Guitar) to start in September 2026. This part-time role involves teaching pupils in individual or small group sessions according to a timetable agreed with the Director of Music. Candidates will support the broad and ambitious musical life of the school.
Duties:
- Teach Year 4 pupils in individual lessons and Years 2 and 3 pupils in small groups.
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate instrumental lessons that foster musical development and enjoyment.
- Organise and maintain teaching timetables in accordance with the Prep School music schedule.
- Keep accurate records of attendance, lesson content, and pupil progress.
- Write reports for pupils and provide feedback to parents and staff.
- Prepare pupils for performances, assessments, and examinations where appropriate.
- Contribute to concerts, assemblies, and other activities that promote the musical life of the school.
