Trading Assistant

Location: Brighton Western Road Local Store, Brighton, BN1 2DA

Working in a fast-paced environment, this role requires availability on Saturday and Sunday. The position involves early shifts from 07:00 - 14:00 or late shifts from 14:00 - 22:00, with bakery training included.

Duties:

• Work as part of a small team to ensure a convenient shopping experience
• Collect stock from the warehouse using heavy roll cages (up to 15kg) to replenish shelves
• Serve customers on checkouts, support deliveries, and keep the store clean and tidy
• Pick and select products for the on-demand grocery service and assist with Click & Collect parcels
• Provide helpful customer service and build knowledge of products and promotions
• Perform date checks on fresh produce and grocery products

Requirements:

• Minimum age of 18
• Right to Work eligibility in the UK
• Friendly, welcoming, and enthusiastic about helping customers
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, physical environment
• Capable of learning new digital tools and technology
• Great attention to detail and ability to work flexibly
