Senior Healthcare Assistant - Talent Pool

Location: Royal Sussex County Hospital, Brighton, BN2 5BE

University Hospital Sussex is recruiting Senior Healthcare Support Workers for a talent pool to fill future permanent vacancies. The trust offers flexible scheduling options, including full-time (37.5 hrs a week) or part-time roles (minimum 23 hours) to suit individual lifestyles.

Duties:

• Assist patients with personal care, hygiene, and continence needs.
• Support patient nutritional needs, including meal delivery and special diets.
• Assist with patient mobility.
• Conduct clinical duties such as observations, blood pressure monitoring, and wound dressing.
• Support patients during clinical procedures under the supervision of a registered nurse.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records.

Requirements:

• Previous NHS or NHS primary care experience.
• Care Certificate from an Ofqual regulated awarding organisation OR international clinical qualification (e.g., overseas nursing qualification).
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge and skills at a higher-level standard of care equivalent to vocational qualification level 3.
