Packer and Slicer

Location: Unit 3 Chapel Road, Brighton and Hove, BN41 1PF

We are looking for an evening packer/slicer to join our skilled bakery team. This casual role includes working evening shifts, early starts, and weekends, so you must have your own transport or a reliable way to get to the site independently. You will be responsible for preparing and packing bread-based products for wholesale and retail stores.

Duties:
- Pack and slice all bread in accordance with delivery notes and requirements
- Count, pack, and prepare items for wholesale and retail stores
- Communicate effectively with the incoming morning shift regarding any packing errors or status
- Maintain ingredient stocks and ensure they are kept tidy
- Keep the bakery neat, clean, and organised at all times
- Assist other departments within the bakery as required

Requirements:
- Great attention to detail and high standards of personal hygiene
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and a flexible attitude towards working hours
- Hard-working, self-motivated, and punctual
- Positive and effective communication skills
- Willingness to learn and develop within the bakery team
- No prior experience required, but a desire to learn is essential
