Pharmacy Assistant

Location: Royal Sussex County Hospital, Eastern Road, Brighton and Hove, BN2 5BE

This is a rotational pharmacy assistant role based at the Royal Sussex County Hospital. The post holder will provide a range of dispensing duties in the busy dispensary and work within the receipt and distribution team on a rotational basis. Opportunity to undertake ward-based training is also offered, with the possibility to progress to a Band 3 position.

Duties:

• Labelling and dispensing of medicines including blister packs
• Reception duties
• Receipt and storage of medicines including expiry date checks
• Replenishment of ward stock
• Delivering medicines to wards when needed

Requirements:

• Customer service experience
• Experience of working in a team
• Stock control experience
• Good level of numeracy and literacy skills
• 5 GCSEs at grade A*-C (including Maths, English Language, and Science)
• Evidence of having championed diversity in previous roles
• Evidence of having undertaken own development to improve understanding of equalities issues
