Barista

Location: 40 Kensington Gardens, Brighton, BN1 4AL, UK

Trading Post Coffee Roasters is seeking a skilled and passionate Barista to join their team in Brighton. You will deliver high-quality coffee and exceptional hospitality in a fast-paced environment, working with top-of-the-range equipment. This role offers excellent progression plans and employee discounts.

Duties:

• Dialling in grinders for all blends and single origins to the brand standard
• Open and close down the coffee section independently
• Maintain the standard speed of service, coffee quality, and overall consistency in a fast-paced environment
• Pouring basic latte art and have an understanding of alternative milks
• Learn and assist across all working aspects of the venue as a part of the Trading Post team
• Consistently deliver great hospitality with a positive attitude
• Undertake regular training and work to support a busy team

Requirements:

• Strong barista skills with some experience in a high-volume, specialty coffee environment
• Experience serving specialty espresso and pouring expertly steamed milk
• Excellent communication, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
• Ability to use initiative, problem-solve, and work well under pressure
• Valid UK work permit or eligibility to work in the UK
