Bank Facilities Assistant

Location: Mill View Hospital, Nevill Avenue, Brighton and Hove, BN3 7HZ

We are looking to recruit one or more people to support our permanent team in Brighton and Hove on a temporary basis, covering shifts as they arise. Working within a Mental Health Hospital setting, you will provide the highest possible standards of domestic services, food service, hygiene, and safety. Various shift patterns are available including weekend working which attracts an unsocial hours payment.

Duties:

• Clean specified areas, fittings, cupboards, work surfaces, and dining tables
• Move light equipment like tables, chairs, beds, and couches to facilitate cleaning
• Damp dust furniture, fixtures, fittings, and clean high-level surfaces, paintwork, walls, doors, and internal glass
• Clean toilets, showers, hand basins, wall coverings, and mirrors
• Perform general floor cleaning, including shampooing and buffing when required
• Load Burlodge trolley with patient food and set oven
• Unload and prepare food for service to patients
• Clear away after meals, perform temperature testing, and inform kitchen of shortages or wastage
• Maintain equipment in a clean condition and replenish stock

Requirements:

• General education to GCSE level or equivalent
• Experience working in a customer focused environment
• Experience of working as part of a team
• Previous experience of cleaning equipment
• Experience of catering in a hospitality setting
• Basic computer literacy
• Subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
