Registered Nurse

Location: Dean Wood Bupa Care Home, Warren Road, Woodingdean, Brighton BN2 6DA, UK

Seeking a Registered Nurse on a bank contract basis to support residents at Dean Wood Bupa Care Home. The role involves delivering person-centred care, managing units, administering medication, and providing clinical guidance to the care team. The shift patterns are flexible, covering a mixture of day and night shifts, with the primary requirement being night shifts.

Duties:

• Taking responsibility for the well-being of residents and making sure their physical, emotional, and social needs are met
• Coaching and guiding the team, providing formal and informal teaching programmes for colleagues and other care professionals
• Carrying out assessments and developing, implementing, and evaluating individualised care plans
• Monitoring work areas and practices to ensure they are safe and conform to relevant standards, policies, and legislation

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse with a valid NMC pin
• Previous experience ensuring policies and standards are kept to a high clinical standard
• Confidence offering clinical guidance for care teams and assisting with CQC tasks
• Effective communication and reporting skills
• Strong critical thinking skills, confidence, self-reliance, and the ability to manage care staff and remain calm in emergency situations, particularly during lone night shifts
