Terms of Service
Last updated: 18 July 2026
Welcome to Brighton PartTimer. By accessing or using our website at brightonparttimer.co.uk ("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. About the Service
Brighton PartTimer is a free, community-driven job board that curates part-time, flexible, and student-friendly job listings in Brighton & Hove. The Site is independently operated as a personal project and is provided on an "as is" basis.
We do not charge job seekers or employers to use the Site. No account registration is required to browse or apply for jobs.
2. How Job Listings Are Sourced
Job listings on the Site come from two sources:
- Curated listings: We find publicly available job advertisements on employer websites and career pages, summarise them in our own words, and publish them on the Site with a direct link to the employer's original application page.
- Employer submissions: Employers can submit job listings directly through our "Post a Job" form. All submissions are reviewed before being published.
Brighton PartTimer is not a recruitment agency. We do not employ, interview, or screen candidates. We simply connect job seekers with employers by aggregating and displaying publicly available opportunities.
3. Accuracy of Listings
While we make reasonable efforts to ensure that job listings are accurate and up to date, we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any listing, including but not limited to:
- Job titles, descriptions, and duties
- Wages, salaries, and pay rates
- Working hours, shift patterns, and schedules
- Whether a position is still open or has been filled
- The legitimacy or trustworthiness of any employer
You are responsible for verifying all details directly with the employer before accepting any position. Brighton PartTimer is not liable for any loss, damage, or dispute arising from reliance on information displayed on the Site.
4. Employer Submissions
If you submit a job listing through the Post a Job form, you agree to the following:
- The information you provide is accurate and truthful to the best of your knowledge.
- You are authorised to post the job on behalf of the employer named in the listing.
- The listing complies with all applicable UK employment laws, including (but not limited to) the National Minimum Wage Act, the Equality Act 2010, and Working Time Regulations.
- You grant Brighton PartTimer a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to publish, edit, and display your submission on the Site and in related channels (such as search engines and social media) for as long as the listing remains active.
- We reserve the right to review, edit, delay, or reject any submission at our sole discretion, without obligation to provide a reason.
- We may remove or archive listings at any time, including when a listing has expired, when the application link is no longer active, or upon request from the employer.
5. Employer Opt-Out
If you are an employer and do not wish for your job listings to appear on Brighton PartTimer, please email us at [email protected]. We will remove your listings promptly.
6. External Links & Third-Party Websites
When you click "Apply Now" or any external link on the Site, you are leaving Brighton PartTimer and visiting a third-party website. We have no control over and accept no responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or availability of those external websites.
Any interaction you have with an employer — including job applications, interviews, and employment agreements — is solely between you and that employer. Brighton PartTimer is not a party to any such arrangement.
7. Intellectual Property
- The Brighton PartTimer name, branding, logo, design, and original written content (including our rewritten job summaries, blog articles, and page content) are the intellectual property of Brighton PartTimer.
- You may not reproduce, redistribute, or republish our content without prior written permission.
- Employer names and logos displayed on the Site remain the property of their respective owners and are used solely to identify the hiring company.

- Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent job listings.
- Submit spam, promotional material, or irrelevant content through the Post a Job form.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Site, its servers, or its databases.
- Use the Site to discriminate against any individual or group in violation of the Equality Act 2010.
- Interfere with the Site's operation, including through automated requests, denial-of-service attacks, or exploitation of vulnerabilities.
We reserve the right to block access to anyone who violates these Terms.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- Brighton PartTimer is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
- We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
- We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site, including but not limited to loss of employment opportunities, financial loss, or reliance on listing information.
