Student Voice Leader
About the role
Location: Brighton, BN2 4GJ, UK
Seeking a Student Voice Leader to act as a paid student partner within an academic school, supporting feedback analysis and student experience improvement. The role offers approximately 25-30 hours across the academic year with a flexible schedule to accommodate studies. The position involves attending training sessions, meetings, and creating termly communications.
Duties:
- Attend one training session with Brighton Students’ Union and University staff each term.
- Work with SVL Co‑Chair to access feedback from feedback mechanisms.
- Analyse feedback and prepare main topics with solutions for meetings.
- Attend a school‑level agenda setting meeting to discuss trends in student feedback and select topics for the agenda of the school‑level voice forum.
- Attend a school‑level Student Voice Forum (SSVF) per term to discuss trends in student feedback and propose ideas for improvement.
- Attend a termly Eduthon with University Professional Services.
- Work in partnership with staff to co‑create solutions and projects in relation to student feedback.
- Create a termly blog or video to close the feedback loop by reporting on actions taken.
- Promote Student Voice opportunities such as the NSS, Module Evaluation, Course Comment Boards.
- Conduct yourself in a manner which adheres to the values of BSU, displaying high standards of professionalism and service.
- Adhere to all BSU policies and procedures.
- Fully participate in induction, personal and team development opportunities.
- Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be expected.
Requirements:
- Must be studying on BA Hons Physical Education with QTS, PGCE Physical Education, or PGCE Physical Education – SD ITE.
