Postal Delivery Driver

Location: Brighton Delivery Office, BN1 1AA, UK

Seeking a Postal Delivery Driver for Royal Mail in Brighton. The role involves a rotating shift schedule with some weekends, working 30 hours per week across a 5‑day‑in‑7 or 9‑day fortnight, covering shifts between 09:20‑16:45, 13:00‑20:30, 06:30‑13:15 on Saturdays and 10:00‑18:00 on Sundays. The driver will deliver letters and parcels by van and on foot, interacting with the local community.

Duties:

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area
• Build relationships with customers
• Work outdoors in all weathers

Requirements:

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to current name and address)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and ability to pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs/hills, and lifting/carrying 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self‑motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
• Customer‑focused with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
