Seasonal Retail Sales Assistant

Location: Hove, UK

Seeking a Seasonal Retail Sales Assistant for The Works in Hove. The role offers a 4‑hour per week contract with fully flexible weekdays and weekends during the Christmas period. The position involves delivering exceptional customer service and supporting store operations throughout the festive season.

Duties:

• Welcome customers into the store and engage in friendly conversations.
• Recommend gifts and products from the Christmas range to meet customer needs.
• Manage deliveries, price and label merchandise, and sort items onto shop floor displays.
• Follow planograms and create attractive merchandising displays.
• Handle heavy stock and navigate stairs while maintaining a tidy stockroom.
• Replenish stock and maintain store presentation throughout the shift.
• Represent The Works as a Brand Ambassador, promoting the brand’s values.

Requirements:

• Confident, customer‑focused attitude with strong communication skills.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy items and using stairs.
• Flexible availability to work weekdays and weekends as needed.
• Willingness to engage in merchandising, stock handling, and delivery duties.
• Positive, energetic approach and ability to work as part of a team.
