Customer Assistant

Location: Carden Avenue, Brighton, UK

Seeking a part‑time Customer Assistant for the Food section at M&S Carden Avenue, Brighton. The role involves early‑morning shifts on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 04:00 to 08:00, with an additional unsocial premium for hours worked between 22:00‑06:00. The successful candidate will deliver fast, high‑quality service, utilise digital tools and adapt to a dynamic retail environment.

Duties:

• Serve customers and recommend M&S Food products.
• Maintain shelves and ensure product availability.
• Operate digital tools such as the Sparks App and in‑store devices.
• Work across various store areas and adapt to changing demands.
• Provide fast, five‑star service in a high‑pressure environment.
• Support team members and contribute to a positive, high‑energy atmosphere.

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to work early‑morning shifts (04:00‑08:00) on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
• Digitally confident and able to use in‑store technology.
• Strong team player with flexibility to work across different store areas.
• Capable of thriving in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure retail setting.
