This Assistant Psychologist position offers a part-time schedule of 22.5 hours per week with options for remote and flexible working. The role involves supporting clinical, training, audit, and research projects across West Sussex, helping to increase access to psychological professions. You will work within multidisciplinary teams under regular structured supervision to support patients and develop clinical formulations.
Duties:
- Undertake projects relating to service development and evaluation, particularly focusing on improving access and outcomes for patients with protected characteristics.
- Set up databases and spreadsheets using advanced IT skills in evaluation, audit, and research.
- Support assessment and treatment interventions and undertake direct and indirect clinical work under supervision.
- Plan, organise, and co-teach psycho-educational courses and groups with qualified staff.
- Liaise with relevant health, social care, and voluntary agencies.
Requirements:
- 2:1 or 1st class degree in psychology.
- Experience of working in a health or social care setting with people with complex needs and/or vulnerable people.
- Basic knowledge of databases, research skills, and methodology.
- Ability to work independently and manage own workload with research and team projects.
