Barista & Front of House

Location: 85-90, Kings Road Arches, Brighton, BN1 2FN

This is a seasonal, part-time position running from July to the end of September. The Flour Pot Bakery is looking for a passionate and customer-focused Barista/Front of House team member to join their growing team. This role requires flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.

Duties:

• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring all customers feel welcome.
• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including expertly crafted coffee-based drinks.
• Operate espresso machines and other coffee-making equipment with precision.
• Assist customers with menu choices and offer recommendations on baked goods.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in all front-of-house areas.
• Process transactions efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Assist with stock management, including restocking display cases.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a barista or front-of-house role is preferred but not essential as training will be provided.
• Passion for coffee, baked goods, and excellent customer service.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude, reliability, and a proactive approach to teamwork.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.
