Counsellor
Location: Mindplace Brighton, Project House, Princess House, Queens Road, Brighton, BN1 3XB
Provides high-quality, effective, and safe counselling to Bupa customers over the short, medium, or longer term working independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team. Offers flexible part-time or full-time schedules covering sessional shifts Monday to Friday (8am - 4pm and 2pm - 10pm) and weekends (8:30am - 5pm), with at least one late or weekend shift required. Conducts 5 appointments per day alongside clinical team collaboration.
Duties:
- Provide high-quality counselling or brief interventions with excellent clinical outcomes
- Deliver comprehensive assessments and formulations to drive evidence-based interventions
- Offer face-to-face sessional delivery models and adhere to Bupa case management processes
- Follow sessional limits based on client benefits and provide signposting or onward referrals
- Offer ad-hoc wellbeing support, coaching, and one-off assessment recommendations
- Deliver group psychoeducation and raise mental health awareness through remote presentations and workshops
- Work autonomously within professional guidelines and attend regular clinical supervision and team meetings
Requirements:
- BACP Accredited, NCPS Professional Accredited Registrant, or UKCP Registered at time of application
- Minimum of 3 years full-time post-qualification counselling experience
- Experience in general adult mental health specialisms
- Proficiency in Microsoft Systems and electronic medical record systems
- Excellent time management, diary utilization, and communication skills
