Salaried GP

Location: 1 Ardingly Street, Kemptown, Brighton, BN2 1SS, UK

Seeking a Salaried GP to join a friendly inner-city NHS practice in Kemptown, Brighton. The role covers 2 to 3 sessions per week, with preferred working days being all day Thursday for the 6-month fixed-term sessions and Monday for the permanent session. Joining a supportive team serving approximately 6,500 patients, the successful candidate will benefit from strong administrative workflow support and a manageable workload.

Duties:

• Provide high quality patient care including prevention, screening, treatment, and chronic condition management.
• Carry out surgery, telephone, and video consultations, as well as home visits.
• Liaise with multi-disciplinary team members and external health organisations.
• Investigate, deal promptly with correspondence and lab results, and make appropriate patient referrals.
• Generate, check, and sign acute and repeat prescriptions in line with practice policy.
• Provide leave cover for colleague GPs and participate in clinical governance meetings.

Requirements:

• Vocationally trained and accredited GP, preferably MRCGP.
• Current GMC registration and UK professional registration.
• IT proficiency and familiarity with primary care clinical systems such as EMIS.
• Excellent communication, timekeeping, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and collaboratively within a team.
