Kitchen Porter

Location: Southwick Square, Southwick, BN42 4FN, UK

Supporting both the kitchen and front of house teams to ensure cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene standards are met. The role involves managing pot washing, stock room organisation, checking in deliveries, and maintaining back-of-house areas. Requires working in a fast-paced production kitchen environment with heavy lifting tasks.

Duties:

• Maintain a clean and tidy pot wash area at all times according to cleaning rotas and schedules
• Wash equipment for the pastry team and front of house crockery
• Keep back-of-house, communal, outside, toilet, fridge, stairwell, and stock room areas clean and tidy
• Check off and pack away stock deliveries
• Ensure allergen and food safety guidelines and procedures are strictly followed
• Manage laundry and ensure the kitchen is stocked with cleaning and drying materials

Requirements:

• Prior Kitchen Porter experience required
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and work effectively at a fast pace
• Great attention to detail and high standards of personal hygiene
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent communication skills and a positive, flexible attitude
