Contact Lens Optician

Location: North St, Brighton, UK

Joining the team at a flagship Boots Opticians store in Brighton, seeking a qualified Contact Lens Optician to provide expert optical care and advice. The position requires 22.5 hours per week across 3 days, with an ideal working pattern of Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, though alternative working patterns can be discussed. Flexible shift options are available within the store opening hours of 8am to 8pm.

Duties:

• Delivering a positive customer journey across clinics and the wider store.
• Building relationships with colleagues, customers, and local healthcare professionals to explore enhanced services.
• Using up-to-date knowledge of contact lens technology and spectacle dispensing to train and develop the optical team.
• Validating complex prescriptions and providing expert advice for patients with specialist requirements.
• Supervising a Student Contact Lens Optician or Student Dispensing Optician as needed.

Requirements:

• Full GOC registration.
• Qualified Contact Lens Optician.
• Passion for patient care.
• Ability to embrace new technologies.
