Shift Leader

Location: 225 Upper Shoreham Rd, Shoreham-by-Sea, BN43 6BE

Seeking a Shift Leader to join the team at Tesco in Shoreham to run daily store operations and support colleagues. This permanent role requires leadership during the manager's absence, team coaching, and delivering great customer service. Scheduled shifts fall within required availability windows on Thursday (5:30 - 2:30), Friday (5:30 - 12:15), Saturday (14:00 - 23:00), and Sunday (14:00 - 23:00).

Duties:

• Leading the team to deliver a great experience for customers in-store.
• Working across all areas of the store and with all colleagues, being the go-to person for day-to-day operational queries.
• Building positive, inclusive relationships that help colleagues perform at their best.
• Confidently leading the store in the Manager’s absence.
• Making balanced, flexible decisions and adapting well to change.
• Coaching colleagues, giving feedback and role modelling great service.
• Staying curious and seeking opportunities to serve customers, communities, and the planet better.

Requirements:

• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Experience working in a team lead or management position in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Strong role model with a passion for delivering great service and meeting customer needs.
• Ability to build positive, long-lasting relationships to create an inclusive team environment.
• Clear communicator who motivates and inspires the team.
