Retail Assistant

Location: North St, Brighton, UK

Seeking a Retail Assistant for Boots Opticians in Brighton, working 30 hrs/week on a permanent basis. The role requires flexibility to cover a variety of shift patterns throughout the week, including evening and weekend shifts, with daily hours from 6am to 4pm.

Duties:

• Build relationships with customers by listening to their needs and recommending appropriate products or services.
• Greet customers upon arrival and assist with pre‑screening activities for eye‑tests.
• Help customers select suitable eyewear solutions.
• Order, dispense and collect glasses and contact lenses.
• Support eye‑tests and pre‑screening activities.
• Provide after‑care support through repairs and adjustments.
• Complete operational and administrative tasks related to dispensing prescriptions.
• Maintain shop floor standards.
• Report to the store manager.

Requirements:

• Passion for customer care.
• Desire to learn.
• Experience in a retail or clinical environment (preferred).
• Ability to work flexible shift patterns, including evenings and weekends.
