Assistant Chef

Location: West Hove Infants School, Hove, UK

Seeking an Assistant Chef to work 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, during school term time (38 weeks per year). The role involves preparing and cooking meals for West Hove Infants School, ensuring high food safety and customer service standards. The position offers a term‑time only schedule with no weekend work.

Duties:

• Assist with planning, preparing and cooking meals to the required standard.
• Enhance the company’s reputation for excellent food and service.
• Brief kitchen teams on menus and service.
• Ensure all food safety and health and safety procedures are continuously applied.
• Carry out company bookwork.

Requirements:

• Organised, hard‑working and passionate individual.
• Ability to maintain great customer service and high food safety standards.
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS disclosure.
• Commitment to work term‑time only (38 weeks per year).
