Postal Delivery Driver (Postie)

Location: Hove Delivery Office, BN3 3UG, UK

Seeking a Postal Delivery Driver (Postie) for Royal Mail in Hove. The role involves a rotating shift schedule with 6‑hour shifts between 08:00 and 20:00, working 9 days in a 14‑day period across Monday to Sunday, including some weekends and Sundays. Hours total 30 hrs per week. The position offers active outdoor work delivering letters and parcels.

Duties:

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area
• Build relationships with customers
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions

Requirements:

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to current name and address)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs/hills, and lifting/carrying 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self‑motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
• Customer‑focused, with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
