Kitchen Porter

Location: Brighton, UK

Seeking a Kitchen Porter for Shelter Hall, a flagship Food Hall on Brighton’s seafront. The role involves maintaining cleanliness and supporting back‑of‑house operations in a fast‑paced environment. The position is part‑time with flexible scheduling.

Duties:

• Keep kitchen and back‑of‑house areas clean, tidy and organised
• Wash kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery and other items as required
• Return clean equipment quickly and safely to the correct areas
• Support cleaning throughout service and at the end of the day
• Manage waste and recycling correctly
• Follow all food hygiene, health & safety and COSHH procedures
• Keep floors, sinks, storage and wash‑up areas clean and safe
• Support the wider team wherever needed during busy services
• Report any equipment, maintenance or safety issues to the management team

Requirements:

• Previous Kitchen Porter or hospitality experience is great, but not essential
• Comfortable working in a busy, fast‑paced environment
• Ability to spend long periods of time on your feet
• Happy working in a physical and hands‑on role
• Positive attitude and willingness to get stuck in
• Reliable and a strong team player
• Good understanding of cleanliness and hygiene standards
• Good level of English language
• Right to work in the UK
