Health Care Assistant

Location: Church Road, Brighton and Hove, BN3 2DL, United Kingdom

This role supports Xyla (a trusted elective care delivery partner to the NHS) Future Health programme within mobile clinic settings, facilitating clinical assessments and participant flow. The working pattern includes Monday to Friday shifts from 07:50 - 18:10, Saturdays from 08:50 - 17:10, and Sundays from 10:50 - 15:55, with flexibility required.

Duties:

• Undertake clinical assessments including blood pressure, pulse, height, weight and waist measurements.
• Perform venepuncture and collect blood samples.
• Monitor participant wellbeing and escalate concerns to the appropriate clinician.
• Prepare, label, store and package biological samples.
• Support participant flow and provide operational and administrative support.

Requirements:

• Minimum 12 months phlebotomy experience.
• Outpatient or similar clinical experience.
• Basic Life Support trained.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Full driving license.
