Health Care Assistant

Location: Sussex Rehabilitation Centre, Brighton General Hospital, Elm Grove, Brighton, BN2 3EX

This role joins a specialist multi-disciplinary team providing prosthetic rehabilitation services to patients across Sussex with limb loss or limb difference. The position involves working 26.25 hours per week at the Sussex Rehabilitation Centre in Brighton, collaborating with a team to support patient recovery and independence.

Duties:

• Provide health care and support under the direction and supervision of registered staff.
• Assist in the delivery of interventions in the clinic and home environment.
• Deliver holistic care including pressure ulcer prevention, dementia awareness, and infection control.
• Undertake non-complex clinical procedures such as blood pressure and blood glucose monitoring.
• Empower patients in their health and independence by supporting exercise programmes and daily living activities.
• Provide administrative support to the team.

Requirements:

• Good standard of education.
• Previous experience working in a caring environment within health, social, or voluntary services.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must hold a valid driving license and have access to a car for work purposes.
• Ability to document efficiently and effectively.
