EVENING NIGHT SHIFT WEEKEND FLEXIBLE

Location: SPFT CAMHS Inpatient Unit, Lewes Road, Haywards Heath, RH16 4EX, UK

Seeking a Healthcare Support Worker to join a newly redesigned Children and Young People's Mental Health Inpatient Unit. The role involves delivering high-quality, recovery-focused care to young people with acute mental health needs as part of a multidisciplinary team. Working patterns require flexibility across shifts in an inpatient environment with structured care delivered across seven days, including potential evening, weekend, and night work.

Duties:

  • Support young people in their day-to-day care, wellbeing, and recovery
  • Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with young people
  • Undertake observations, record, and report changes in mental or physical health
  • Support the delivery of individual and group therapeutic activities
  • Assist with personal care when required, maintaining dignity and privacy
  • Maintain clear, accurate, and timely electronic and written clinical records

Requirements:

  • Good general education
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience
  • Experience working with mental health needs in a paid or voluntary capacity
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work flexibly across shifts in an inpatient environment
