Customer Delivery Driver

Location: 130-134 Western Road, East Sussex, BN1 2LA

Seeking a part‑time Customer Delivery Driver for Waitrose in Brighton, working 22.5 hrs per week across Friday, Saturday and Sunday shifts (13:15‑21:15 on Friday and Saturday, 09:30‑17:30 on Sunday). The role involves delivering groceries to customers' doors and supporting store operations when off‑road. Candidates will operate modern delivery vans, perform safety checks, and assist with warehouse tasks as needed. Flexible working arrangements are supported.

Duties:

• Be a friendly face for the Waitrose brand while on the road, delivering excellent customer service.
• Chat with customers about order changes or substitutions and process refunds when necessary.
• Handle all products and deliveries with care.
• Ensure customers are not charged extra for substituted items.
• Assist customers with their groceries and build trusting relationships.
• Familiarise yourself with the delivery route for the day.
• Perform a full safety check on the van before each shift.
• Help the wider CFC team with general warehouse tasks when off the road.

Requirements:

• Be 18 or older.
• Hold a full, valid UK manual car driving licence (B‑Category) with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Possess strong people skills and a friendly approach to customer service.
• Be able to perform physical work such as lifting crates, climbing stairs and moving items up to approximately 18 kg.
• Previous experience driving for work or familiarity with refrigerated vans (desirable).
