Kitchen Assistant

Location: Brighton and Hove, BN1 9BL, UK

Seeking Kitchen Assistants to join the team at Brighton & Hove FC for the 2026/27 football season. The role supports kitchen operations in a fast-paced hospitality and event environment across matchdays, conferences, and premium events. Working patterns include flexible shifts across match days and non-match days, including evenings and weekends.

Duties:

• Support chefs and kitchen teams with food preparation tasks
• Assist with basic food preparation and ingredient setup
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation across all kitchen areas
• Follow all food safety, allergen, and hygiene procedures
• Dispose of waste correctly and maintain recycling procedures where required
• Assist with kitchen setup and close-down procedures
• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and presentation
• Support smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods

Requirements:

• Previous experience within a kitchen, catering, or hospitality environment desirable but not essential
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work well within a team environment
• Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
• Comfortable working within fast-paced and busy kitchens
• Good understanding of cleanliness and hygiene standards
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and event days
