Retail Customer Service

Location: Brighton & Hove, UK

Seeking a Retail Customer Service team member to deliver customer service and drive daily standards in betting shops. Reporting to the Shop Manager, the role involves serving customers, building repeat custom, and managing shop operations. Working patterns fall between Monday and Sunday from 8am to 10pm, including weekends and bank holidays, with rotas made up of long opening/closing shifts and shorter evening shifts.

Duties:

• Deliver outstanding customer service.
• Always urge safer gambling.
• Take bets on different sports and events.
• Process customer transactions including cash handling.
• Help demonstrate products and betting terminals to customers.
• Handle customer complaints or concerns with empathy and problem-solving skills.
• Work towards defined targets.
• Maintain high shop standards.
• Open or close the shop.

Requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or over.
• Previous work in a customer-facing setting.
• Confidence working with customers in person.
• Familiarity with cash handling and payment transactions.
