Assembly Chef

Location: Unit 3 Chapel Road, Brighton and Hove, BN41 1PF, UK

Seeking an Assembly Chef to join the team at The Flour Pot Bakery, helping to prepare and cook a range of savoury items including sausage rolls and sandwiches. Shifts include early starts and weekend work in an artisan kitchen setup. Suitable for a commis or junior chef looking to progress while enjoying a good work-life balance.

Duties:

• Assembling sandwiches and filled rolls using Cybake reports
• Packing filled sandwiches in ice-lined thermos boxes for shops ensuring packing sheets are followed exactly
• Preparing and cooking MEP for sandwiches, savoury, and sweet items following recipes
• Ensuring stations are cleared and cleaned between assembly and prep jobs
• Assembling next day items such as filled croissants and sausage rolls
• Complying with FSMS at all times and correctly labelling food stored in the fridge
• Rotating stock correctly and reporting any shortages to management
• Performing end-of-shift clean downs including tables, counters, fridge and freezer doors, and ovens

Requirements:

• Knowledge of kitchen operations and the requirements of the role
• High levels of personal hygiene, organisation, and punctuality
• Positive communication skills and a flexible attitude towards working hours
• Reliable personal transport or means to arrive for early morning starts
