Postperson with Driving

Location: Brighton Delivery Office, BN1 1AA

Seeking a Postal Delivery Driver to join Royal Mail on a 9-month fixed term contract delivering letters and parcels in Brighton. Working 30 hours per week, 5 days across Monday to Sunday, with shifts running from 13:25 to 19:25. The role involves a rotating schedule delivering mail on foot and by van in all weather conditions.

Duties:

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
• Deliver post by van and on foot in the local area
• Build relationships with customers
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions

Requirements:

• Full manual UK driving licence with a maximum of 6 penalty points
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances (up to 12 miles) and carrying 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable, self-motivated, and resilient in a busy environment
