Location: Brighton College, Brighton, UK

Brighton College is seeking a Performing Arts Duty Manager to join the team on an all-year-round, zero-hour ad-hoc basis. The role involves taking responsibility for the operation and management of the Richard Cairns Building, ensuring facilities are kept to the highest standard and exceptional customer service is delivered. The successful candidate will support patrons and other users with operational resource requirements for live events.

Duties:

  • Provide a professional and friendly welcome to all users
  • Promote and maintain an environment that is clean, safe, and comfortable
  • Ensure timetabled sessions are set up and cleared away promptly
  • Help with event set ups and provide support during live events
  • Perform cleaning duties as required to achieve high presentation standards
  • Manage and operate the Theatre Auditorium in accordance with operating manuals
  • Conduct regular building patrols and manage routine checks or maintenance

Requirements:

  • Customer-focused with a passion for providing exceptional service
  • Driven, enthusiastic, and able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Ability to work unsupervised, use own initiative, and manage time effectively
  • Flexible and responsive to programme changes
  • Excellent communication skills and compliance with health and safety procedures
