Barista & Front of House

Location: 1 Ditchling Road, Brighton, BN1 6JT, UK

The Flour Pot Bakery is seeking a passionate Barista and Front of House team member to join the Fiveways location. The role involves providing counter and dine-in service, preparing handcrafted coffee, and serving a busy local community. Shift patterns include 6:30am - 3pm, 8am - 4pm, and 9am - 5:30pm operating between Monday and Sunday.

Duties:

• Provide excellent customer service for both counter and dine-in customers.
• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee-based drinks.
• Operate espresso machines and coffee-making equipment with precision.
• Assist customers with menu choices and recommend baked goods.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation in all front-of-house areas.
• Process transactions efficiently using the POS system.
• Assist with stock management, display cases, and product freshness.
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a barista or front-of-house role is preferred, though training is provided.
• Table service experience is preferable.
• Passion for coffee, baked goods, and customer service.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays as required.
