Retail Assistant

Location: North St, Brighton, UK

Seeking a Retail Assistant to join the store team in a permanent 30 hours per week position. The role requires flexibility for shift availability Monday to Sunday between 6am and 4pm, including evening and weekend shifts. The successful candidate will greeting customers, assist with eye test pre-screening, help find eyewear solutions, and undertake optics training.

Duties:

• Greeting customers and understanding their needs to recommend appropriate products or services
• Ordering, dispensing, and managing collections of glasses and contact lenses
• Supporting with eye-tests and pre-screening activities
• Providing aftercare support, including repairs and adjustments
• Completing operational and administrative tasks associated with dispensing prescriptions
• Maintaining shop floor standards

Requirements:

• Ability to commit to the advertised 30 hours per week on a permanent basis
• Flexibility to work a variety of shift patterns across Monday to Sunday (6am to 4pm), including evenings and weekends
• A passion for customer care and a strong desire to learn
• Previous experience working in a retail or clinical environment is preferred
