Supermarket Assistant (Christmas)

Location: Hove, UK

Seeking a Supermarket Assistant for a temporary part‑time role of approximately 15 hrs/week. The position involves varied shifts across seven days, including early starts, late finishes, evenings and weekends between 06:00 and 22:30, with additional night premium for hours worked between 22:00 and 06:00. The role is based in Hove, East Sussex.

Duties:

• Stock replenishment – ensuring shelves remain full and products are correctly placed.
• Fulfilling online customer orders ready for delivery.
• Reducing wastage by following product due diligence and markdowns for items nearing sell‑by dates.
• Supporting the wider shop team, including checkout support, managing Click & Collect orders, and fulfilling on‑demand customer orders.
• Maintaining a safe and tidy working environment with general shop‑keeping tasks.

Requirements:

• Communication skills to enable effective teamwork and customer interaction.
• Experience in a customer‑facing role.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge and strong interest in food and drink trends.
• Flexible approach to support the whole branch.
