Trading Assistant

Location: Lewes Road Store, Brighton, BN2 3QA

Seeking a Trading Assistant for a fixed-term assignment working 20 hours per week in a fast-paced store environment. The role focuses on setting up the store brilliantly to provide outstanding value, quality, and service to local customers. Offers an engaging team environment with opportunities to learn digital tools and varied skills.

Duties:

• Collecting stock from the warehouse using heavy roll cages (up to 15KG) to replenish items across the store
• Serving customers brilliantly, supporting with questions, and proactively offering help
• Building knowledge about products, services, and promotions to provide recommendations
• Date checking fresh produce and grocery products
• Helping across the store as needed and supporting with deliveries

Requirements:

• Must be above school-leaving age with Right to Work eligibility in the UK (must be at least 18 for shifts earlier than 6am or later than 11pm)
• Friendly and welcoming with a genuine enthusiasm for helping customers
• Happy working in a fast-paced, physical, and high-energy environment
• Prepared to work flexibly across the store and comfortable learning new digital tools
• Great attention to detail to keep the store clean and clutter-free
